This is the main worship area of the building, and is on the entrance level of the venue. It is a large, beautiful and extremely flexible space making it particularly suitable for larger scale works.
Over the years this space has hosted several hit shows including Spring Awakening, Avenue Q and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

8m* x 6m. The performance area will be covered with black dance floor. (This will be laid over the short pile carpet, with an intermediate wood layer). There is no fixed staging, but the stage area includes a raised dais approximately 300mm (12') high, with intermediate step at front and sides.
[*] Some of the width may need to be kept clear of set and props to allow for fire access. However, it will be available to be acted upon.
Wing spaces are defined by black drapes, which are also used to create a cross-over behind the performance area.

The overall height of the space is around 10m (32'). Headroom to beneath the balcony in the wings is 3.0m.
Access
Access to The Sanctuary is via two steps or a ramp, with space for wheelchairs at the front of the seating rake.
Lighting
The lighting provided in The Sanctuary is our most flexible rig, including a combination of moving lights, LED general cover, LED back/side lights and conventional fixtures. An ETC Ion is provided for control.
Sound
This space has two flown speakers covering the audience, two subs under the seating and two flown foldback speakers covering the stage. A Behringer X32 digital mixer is provided for control. Two SM58 microphones are provided, and a 16-channel digital stage box can be used in the stage-right wing or on stage for live audio. Additional foldback speakers are available for use on stage or in the wing for bands. Radio mics can be provided at an extra cost.
Projection
1280 x 800 WXGA, remote zoom/focus on 3.6m motorised screen upstage. VGA and HDMI connections are available at the technical desk.
QLab
A Mac with QLab 4 Video is provided for control of projection and sound playback from the technical desk.
The Sanctuary seats 110 and is our largest performance space. It is a beautiful and flexible space making it particularly suitable for larger scale works.
The Studio seats up to 107 depending on chosen layout. It is our most flexible space and features a wide stage.
The cosy 42-seat performance space within The Vault is framed by a stone archway that creates a proscenium arch feel in an authentic Fringe space.
The Annexe, seats 45 and has a black box stage which you can transform to suit your performance.
