The Snug

On the lower level of Paradise in Augustines you will find our newest space: The Snug. The Snug was opened in 2019 and has 30 seats in a three-quarter-round arrangement, providing an intimate performance space.

Stage (WxD)
2.4m x 1.2m (8’ x 4’) covered with black dancefloor. This is flat with the two rows of seating for an intimate performance feel.

Due to the size of the space there is no storage space available, however please speak to us if required and we may be able to store small items for you.

Access
Access to The Snug is via stairs only.

Technical Specification

Lighting
General cover is provided by profiles or fresnels. A pair of LED pars are provided to allow colour from above stage.

Control is an ETC Colorsource 20.

Sound
A small PA and analogue mixer is available for basic sound effects and playback.

An SM58 microphone and stand are available for use.

Projection
There is a single projector available for use. Screen dimensions are 203 x 115cm (16:9) HDMI and VGA connections are available at the technical desk.

QLab
A Mac with QLab 4 Video is provided for control of projection and sound playback from the technical desk.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary seats 110 and is our largest performance space. It is a beautiful and flexible space making it particularly suitable for larger scale works.

The Studio

The Studio seats up to 107 depending on chosen layout. It is our most flexible space and features a wide stage.

The Snug

The Snug is our new intimate performance space with 30 seats.

The Vault

The cosy 42-seat performance space within The Vault is framed by a stone archway that creates a proscenium arch feel in an authentic Fringe space.

The Annexe

The Annexe, seats 45 and has a black box stage which you can transform to suit your performance.
